Francisco Portughese story Sibiu+Untold
Ro: În partea a 2-a a călătoriei răsfoiam poveștile de viață ale protagoniștilor schimbului de tineri și ar fi păcat să nu-l amintim aici și pe Camilo, un artist portughez ce a apucat să viziteze deja meleagurile românești, având în Sibiu, chiar lângă liceu lui B. o lucrare de tip pictură murală uriașă pe peretele unei școli, dând impresia că Hermanstadt este un mic Bruxelles. Camilo a fost răsplătit și cu o invitație la Untold și așa a ajuns și prin Cluj!
A fost o experientă grozavă. Să întâlnesc și să fiu parte dintr-un grup de artiști, asociații artistice, organizatori de proiecte și fani, toți în același loc. Descoperind idei noi și povești, cu toți acești oameni, a fost de neprețuit și a creativ, cu prieteni care să organizeaze proiecte de voluntariat despre arta stradală în țările lor, a fost un scop foarte fain la care nu mă așteptam.Ca și artist dar ca și persoană, eu sunt foarte foarte fericit cu acest proiect…deoarece oamenii buni pe care i-am întâlnit mi-au făcut lumea mea să fie un pic mai primitoare! -Camilo, Portugalia
En: In the second part of this trip we were revealing the life stories of the main characters of this youth exchange and it will be too bad not to mention about Camilo, a Portuguese artist who already got the change to see Romania, having in Sibiu, near the B’s high school huge mural painting on the school’s wall, giving the impression that Hermanstadt is a small version of Brussels. Camilo was also rewarded with an invitation to Untold Festival and this is how he managed to see also Cluj!
It was a great experience. To meet and share in a group of artists, art associates, project organizers and fans all at once. Learning new ideas and stories, with all these guys, was priceless and creative with friends who organize projects and deal with them to make volunteering street art in their countries was a nice goal I wasn’t expecting so far. As an artist, i am really happy with this project but also as a person… because the good people that I meet there made my world a bit cosier! -Camilo, Portugal
Legătura dintre Luxemburg și România
Ro:Tot la capitolul conexiuni, Chiarra îi mărturisise lui B. că bona din copilăriei ei era româncă și așa ajunsese să viziteze Timișoara și chiar să descopere că o minoritate germană din Dobrogea vorbea luxemburgheză.
The connection between Luxemburg and Romania
En: Still, at the connections chapter, Chiarra was confessing to B. that her baby sitter from her childhood was a Romanian one and that is how he made it visit Timișoara and even to discover that a minority from Dobrogea region was speaking Luxemburgish.
Ro: Să revenim în Esch, unde în ziua 3, gașca de tineri făcea cunoștiință cu Kufulturfabrik, un spațiu multifuncțional unde arta și creativitatea sunt la ele acasă. După introducerea în acest loc realizată de Fred, ce a fost foarte darnic în a oferi câteva ponturi despre cum se pornește o comunitate, pornind de la un gratar și alte tehnici ce pot aduce aduce populații atât de diferite ca germani, francezi, portghezi, spanioli venite cu ceva timp în urmă pentru a munci în exploatare oțelului.
En: Comming back to Esch, were in day 3, the crew was getting in touch with Kufulturfabrik, a multifunctional space where art and creativity are feeling like home. After the introduction made by Fred, which was very eager to share a few tips and tricks about how to start a community, starting from a barbeque and other techniques which can bring together populations like Germans, French, Portuguese, Spanish which came in the past to work in the steel industry.
Ro: În cadrul Kufa, o parte din participanți și-au prezentat activitatea, Iulia cu elevii ei, Juska cu tinerii din micuțul său oraș, Achik cu activitatea ei la televiziunea națională maghiară Duna TV și în filme indepedente unde arta era prezentă pe partea de bodypaiting. Super-mișto a fost prezentarea cântărețului Mathe, fiind unul din inițiatorii festivalul Pagony Projekt, ce a avut loc în Ungaria în 8-10 iunie, în format rural, cu muzică folk faină și distracție asigurată, detalii se pot găsi pe pagina de facebook a conceptului. Ungurul ăsta Mathe, este un om pe cinste, cu care binețeles că B. a avut ce povesti despre Transilvania și multe alte locuri comune. Cred că puteți intui cine este țiganul topless din clipul de mai jos :))
En: Inside Kufa, some participants presented their activity, like Iulia with her students, Juska with his youngster from his small city, Achik with her Hungarian national television activity called Duna TV and in her independent movies when art was represented by bodypainting. The presentation of Mathe was so cool, he is one of the founders of the Pagony Projekt, which took place in Hungary, on 8-10 June, in a countryside format, with nice folk music and the fun granted, details can be found on the facebook page of this concept. This Hungarian is a very good guy, B talked a lot with him about Transilvania and other common stuff. I think you can guess who is the topless gipsy from the above video.
Ro: După o încheiere făinuță a zilei la pubul din cadru Kufa, a doua seară a continuat după cină, cu o ieșire în Pitcher Bar, la recomandarea lui Maelle, un băruleț british de cartier, unde poveștile s-au întins la o bere, la un vin ( care a fost așa și asa) pe engleză, pe spaniolă, pe toate limbile posibile :))
En: After the a nice ending of the day at the Kufa’s pub, the second night continued after dinner, with a going out in Pitcher Bar, being Maella’s recommendation, a small British neighbourhood bar, where the stories were getting along with a beer or a wine ( which was so and so) speaking English, Spanish, any possible language :))
Ro:Ziua următoare a fost plină de activități, mai ales în cadrul Kufa, unde după workoshopul lui B, atelierul Lucia, workshopul Aniei, o mulțime de opere de artă au prins viață și legături fantastice s-au creat între participanți, B. se simțea ca în anii 2000, când încă era prin generală și liceu și totul era fun, deși trecea parcă prea repede. Față de copilărie, orele de desen nu mai erau un chin ci mai degrabă o activitate foarte distractivă și mult mai simplă, formele și spray-ul fâcând casă bună cu imaginația. Sesiunea de reflecție de la capătul zilei, cu toată lumea la o masă uriașă, ca la un grătar, ce mai ca la o nuntă, a fost plină de emoție, de cuvinte sincere. A fost o provocare foarte faină și utilă lansată de organizatori care cumva a setat cadrul pentru cafeneaua deschisă din ziua următoare. Ca și nota tristă, B. simțea că poate la sfârșitul liceului a făcut o alegere greșită că nu a mers pe artă, pe teatru…
En: The next day was full of activities, especially in Kufa, where after the workshops of B, Lucia and Ania, lots of art projects were finalised and awesome bounding between the participants were created, B was feeling like in the 2000s, when he was still in the primary school and high school and everything was fun, even if it looks like is passing too fast. Comparing to his childhood, the painting classes were not such a pain in the ass more like a fun activity and much more simple, the shape and the spray making a good team with the imagination. The end of the day reflecting session gathering everybody at a huge table, like a barbeque or a wedding, was full of emotions and honest words. It was a nice and useful challenge launched by the organizers which somehow set up the starting points for the next day open library session. As a sad remark, B was feeling that maybe a the end of the high school he made a wrong decision not choosing art, especially theatre.
Ro: Seara a început într-un local marocan, mergând tot pe mâna lui Maelle, unde o parte din participanți și-au dezvăluit talentele, Cris fiind în stare să rădă minute în șir fără oprire, fără motiv, Sofia avea o voce minunată, Juska cu o limbă foarte lungă și multe alte nebunii. Continuare s-a prelungit până la pe la 3 30 la un jam session, unde fiecare a împărtășit gusturile muzicale din țările de origine, fie că vorbim de piese România, Portugalia, Polonia, Luxemburg, Ungaria. Totuși cel mai mișto a rămas freestyle-ul lui Federico ca beatboxer și Antoine cu versuri și flow franțuzesc. Clipul de mai jos unde Antonine o dă în intervalul 04:11-04:50, este din cadrul unui proiect al fundației Dynamo, unde este voluntar.
En: The night started in a Moroccan restaurant, recommended by the one and only Maella, where part the crew revealed their secret skills, Cris being able to laugh non stop with no reason, Sofia having a wonderful voice, Juska with a very long tongue and lots of other crazy stuff. The after party holds till 3 30 a.m at a jam session, where everybody shared its national musical preferences, songs from countries like Romania, Portugal, Poland, Luxemburg or Hungary. Anyway, the coolest was the freestyle of Federico as a beatboxer and Antonie with the French lyrics and flow. The above video where Antoine is rapping in the interval 04:11-04:50 is part of a project of Dynamo Foundation, where Antoine is a volunteer.
Ro:Diminețiile deși de multe ori par grele, în această experiență luxemburgheză erau super-hazlii, pline de caterincă, recenzii și reflexii de tot felul despre zilele precedente, de altfel orice tip de pauză era savurată din plin, se formase un coletiv, chiar o familie, toți păreau că se știu de o viață și se comportau atât de natural. Așa a trecut și B. foarte ușor peste un interviu ratat în spaniolă ( că putea gândi doar în engleză în momentul acela) la o multinațională din domeniul financiar. A fost tot răul spre bine, că tot în aceste zile și-a setat un interviu pentru poziția de manager de marketing într-o companie de vânzări, ceva mult pe sufletul lui, not for the money, also for the show.
După cum spuneam mai sus, urma o sesiune de tip cafenea deschisă în care 5 topicuri erau lăsate pe câte o masă și la un anumit interval de tip oamenii își schimbau locurile pentru a contribui la fiecare dintre probleme. Foarte binevenit a fost și aportul reprezentaților din consiliul local și mediul artistic din Esch, au luat și ei parte la activitate, oferindu-și experitiza cu drag. Au fost 3 mese înăuntru și 2 pe terasă afară, cu teme care de mai de care mai provocatoare, izvorâte din sesiunea de reflecție din cadrul Kufa.
Cum poate fi arta urbană
O soluție potențială pentru rezolvarea problemelor socială?
Participanții proiectului consideră că arta urbană poate face comunitatea mai deschisă, poate face problemele sociale mai vizibile, poate combate rasismul, șomajul prin forme de protest pașnic, fundraising, dezvoltarea sentimentului de apartenență, educația tinerilor, împărtășirea de povești și organizarea de întâlniri spontane.
En: Even if many times the mornings look tough, in the Luxemburighs experience the mornings were full of fun and jokes, all the reflections and reviews about the facts from the past days where enjoyed, a family was forming, everybody seems that they know each other for a lifetime and they were acting so natural. This is how B. get over a failed interview in Spanish ( he was thinking only in English at that moment) for a financial multinational. It was all for the best because on the same day the scheduled an interview for a marketing manager in sale company, something more into his heart, not just for the money, also for the show.
Like I was saying earlier, an open library session was next in which there was 5 table with different topics and at one point everybody was switching its place to contribute to ideas to every theme. It was very appreciated the help of the local council and art industry representatives, they were integrated part of the activity offering their inputs and their experience in the field. There were 3 tables inside and 2 tables outside having flipcharts papers with very challenging themes with routes in the Kufa reflection episode.
Urban art as a potential
For solving social problems
The participants of this project consider that urban can make the community more open, can make the problems more visible, can fight against racism and unemployment through peaceful protests, fundraising, increasing the feeling of belonging, youth education, sharing stories and organising spontaneous meetings.

Ro:Aici s-au lansat idei de colectivizarea, de creare a unei uniuni a artiștilor care să lupte pentru drepturile creatorilor, dar în același timp să păstreze și diversitatea și unicitatea fiecăruia, scopul principal fiind colaborare și schimbul de resurse în diferite proiecte care să aducă o serie de beneficii. S-a atins și subiectul pricing, despre cum ar trebui să fie compus, despre munca gratis, dacă poate fi product placement sau măcar parte din portofoliu.

Where does the artist stand?
En: Here they talked about the need of community, the need of artist union to fight for the right of the creators, but in the same to preserve also the diversity and the genuine of every member, the main goal being the partnership and the resource exchange in different project in order to gain some benefits. The talked also about the pricing, about how the price should be calculated, about free work, if it can be considered product placement or at least part of the portfolio.

la nivel local și internațional în schimburi de tineri?
Ro :La prima vedere pare o temă banală, având în vedere că doar pentru acest proiect au aplicat sute de tineri, dar totuși problematica în alte zone este un pic mai complicată. S-a atins subiectul promovării directe prin video-uri și canale de social de media a proiectelor. La nivel de viziune se poate spune că aceste experiențe de schimburi pot veni ca o formă de educație alternativă. Cu ocazia această, Ieva a anunțat că coordonează un program EVS la librăria ei din Lituania. Aceste tipuri de inițiative pot micșora distanța între generații, dintre localinici și imigranți.
How can we attract youth
In local and international projects?
En: At first sight, it may sound like a common issue, taking into account that only for this project hundreds of youngsters had applied, but anyway the problem in other countries is more complex. In was been brought into discussion the direct promoting topic of the projects through videos and social media channels. This youth exchanges can be considered as a new vision of a form of alternative educations. Ieva took this opportunity to announce that she is coordinating and EVS programme at her library from Lituania. This type of initiatives can decrease the gap between generations, between local people and immigrants.

În agenda factorilor de putere?
Ro:Graffiti-ul în multe țări este încă ilegal, nu sunt spații dedicate pentru acest tip de artă urbană. Pe partea politică s-a sugerat oarecum colaborarea cu partide care să împărtășească același set de valori, poate chiar un win-win în care politicianul să câștige vizibilitate și proiectele artiștilor să-și atingă scopurile. A fost foarte interesantă ideea de rețea care să includă și ONG-uri, comunități, organizațiile profesionale, presă , toate aceste eforturi concretizate în evenimente de impact, cu engagement mare dar păstrând integritatea, pornind de la pași mici. Acest topic de discuție s-a nișat pe tema atragerii politicului, a autorităților, de partea artiștilor și aici a fost de remarcat o sugestie a unui consilier local pe ideea că artistul ar trebui să-și prezinte creațiile pentru a primi sprijin și finanțare, nu să aștepte să-l caute cineva.
How can urban art influence decision factors?
En: In lots of countries graffiti is still illegal, there are not enough spaces designed for this type of urban art. It has been suggested regarding the political issue to make a partnership with parties which are sharing the same set of values, a win-win deal in which the politician is gaining visibility and on the other side the projects of the artists to reach its goals. It was very interesting the idea of developing a network which includes also NGOs, communities, professional associations, media, all these efforts translated in events with impact, with a large engagement but also with the integrity intact, all starting with baby steps. This discussion topic was focusing on the theme of bringing close the politician, the authorities to the artists and here it was a remarkable suggestion of local representative regarding the idea that the artist show presents his creations to the authorities in order to receive support and financing, not to wait to be haunted.

Ro:Gândurile lui Cris din sesiunea de reflecție de la Kufa s-a îndreptat în principal spre viitor. Inevitabil această temă i-a activat creierașul lui B, au rulat multe idei în mintea lui, ca un roi de fluturi. Clar că este nevoie de mai multe chestii ca un newsletter cu oportunități noi de proiecte, păstrarea legăturilor cu membrii din proiect, scrierea de noi proiecte cu feedback la un grătar, cu strategie de promovare, idei fresh care să implice persoane de diferite vârste.
What’s next? How can we keep the fire going?
En: The thoughts of Cris from the Kufa reflection session were concerning mainly regarding the future. Of course that this theme activated the little brain of B, lots of ideas flown in and out his mind, like butterflies. Definitely that there is a need of a bunch of things like a newsletter containing new projects opportunities, keep the bound with the member from this project, writing new projects with barbeques feedback, with the development of a promoting strategy, fresh ideas which involve people from different range of age.
Ro: Vizitele prin Esch au reprezentat o culegere de experiențe aparte. Pe lângă Kulturfabrik, mai sunt cel puțin 2 centre de creație, în care artiștii dainuiesc prin munca lor, eliberând creație materializate în expoziții și chiar monetizări. Undeva în zona foarte portugheză a orașului, se află Kemelle Butek, un centru expozițional, unde se țin și cursuri pentru studenți și tineri artiști. Galeria este distribuită pe mai multe etaje, unde fiecare camera pare o scenă dintr-o poveste plină de farmec. La creațiile din galeria foto de mai jos era disponibilă și listă de prețuri. La primul nivel, Cris a descoperit a 2-lea pian din această călătorie, plăcerea lui nevinovată, de neștuitor în ale muzicii, dar degustător nesătul de acorduri live. Pauza a fost de asemenea foarte apreciată, într-o curte, cu grădină, foișor, era un loc în care e foarte ușor să-ți imaginezi cum un pictor la început de drum își plimba șevaletul pentru a obține mixul perfect de culoare și senzație intensă artistică.Raphael Gindt a fost artistul care a avut amabilitate să vorbească despre acest loc, creațiile sale regăsindu-se și în alte părți ale orașului, vom aminti despre una dintre ele în cele ce urmează.
En: The Esch tour represents a set of unique experiences. Among Kulturfabrik, there at least two creation centres, in which the artist ar living through their work, launching exhibitions with sales of their creations. Somewhere in the Portuguese area of the town, it is Kemmelle Butek, a gallery where they are held also courses for students and young artists. The place has many levels, every room looks like a fairytale. At the creations available beneath there is also a list of prices. At the first level, Cris discovered the second piano from this journey, his guilty pleasure, even if he is just an amateur of music, but an always hungry for life chords music. The break was also very appreciated, in a backyard, with a garden, a gazebo, it was a place in which it was very easy to imagine how an ambitious painter was carrying his easel to get the perfect mix between the colour and the most intense artistic vibe. Raphael Gindt was the artist who was so kind to talk about this place, his masterpieces can be found also in other parts of the city, we will talk about a specific one in the following paragraphs.
Ro: Hariko a fost cireașă de port a acestei zi artistice. Un loc micuț, dar plin de intenții bune, unde chiar și în timpul prezentării, un artist redecora un perete. Este un loc unde orice copil cu posibilități reduse are șansa să guste câte puțin din orice tip de manifestare artistică mai mult sau mai puțin convențională. Artiștii ce învâță copii să picteze, sa cânte la chitară, să facă graffiti ( chiar aveau un perete legal) primeau în schimb cazare atâta timp cât aveau nevoie. Este o modalitate făinuță de a integra copii în comunitate, de a deschide arta tinerilor. Pe acordurile desprinse din degetele lui Juska, ce fredona la pian The Rembrandts- I’ll be there for you ( coloană sonoră din “Friends”) în tandem cu artistul ce picta peretele, Cris, Oana și Federico se relaxau pe o canapea jonglând cu note acute ale universului oniric.
En: Hariko was the icing on the cake of this artistic day. A tiny place, but full of good intentions, where even during the presentation, an artist was painting a wall. It is a place where every kid with low possibilities is having the change to taste a little form every form of art more or less conventional. The artists who are teaching the kids to paints, to sing at the guitar, to make graffiti ( they even had a legal wall) received in exchange accommodation as long as they needed. It is a nice way to integrate kids in the community, to open the gates of the art to youngsters. Cris, Oana and Federico were chilling on a couch joggling with the sleep temptation, driven by the chords played by the fingers of Juska, who was singing at the piano The Rembrandts- I’ll be there for you ( ” Friends” TV show theme song) featuring the artist who was painting the wall.
Ro: Mai erau doar 2 nopți de petrecut în Esch și Cris cu Oana era foarte deciși să atrage toate energiile și experințele posibile rămase. S-au gândit să se perinde seara prin oraș într-un fel de preview a zilei următoare ce se întrevedea a fi un tur cultural. Pasaje desenate cu graffiti, locuri în care trebuia să-și bată capul ce cauta gravura pe acolo, toate acestea radiau un mister plin de farmec.
En: There were just 2 nights left to spend in Esch. That is why Cris and Oana were so decided to make the most of all the energies and experiences possible left. The taught to have an evening walk in the city as some kind of preview of the next day which was supposed to be a cultural tour. Passages painted with graffiti, place where they have to guess what the mural is doing there, all these stuff were glowing a mystery full of charm.
Ro: La revenire în hostel, toată lumea era setată pe Eurovision, dar Cris și Oana aveau chef de biliard, reușind să-i corupă pe Iuska, Piia, Francesco și Achik. Hostelul beneficia de o masă la primul etaj, prilej de confruntări neoficială dar plin de haz între România, Italia, Hungaria, Finlanda. A fost apusul unei zi așa cu un iz special, de liceu.
Esch între apă, oraș, industrie, muncă și graniță
Penultima zi a fost împărțită între vizitarea orașului Esch-sur-Alzette și a capitalei țării, Luxemburg City. Esch este un cuvânt celtic, ce înseamnă “apă”, o mulțime de orașe din Germania și sudul Franței folosind această titulatură. Alzette este denumirea râului ce unește Franța cu Luxemburg. Orașul este înconjurat de natură, urbea fiind într-un contrast destul de carismatic între urban și natură. Prima atestare documentară ar fi undeva pe la începutul secolului VIII, așezarea devenind oraș pe la mijlocul secolului XIX, unul de natură industrială, populații din întreaga Europă ( în principal bărbați din Polonia, Italia, Spania, Portugalia, Germania, Franța) venind în acest sat, până atunci, să lucreze în fabrici, practic o goană după aur variantă Europană. Chiar și originile ghidului de naționalitate franceză erau polonezo-portugheze. Populația a crescut de la 2000 în 1870 la 30 000 în 1920, țăranii devenind minoritari, fenomenul fiind perfect valabil în toată valea de exploatare de fierului, fie că vorbim de Germania, Franța sau Belgia. Maelle a ținut să completeze introducerea ghidului cu o istorie a unei creații italieni plasată în loc de acoperiș pe Youth Hostel, ca și simbol al tranziției natură-oraș. Fiind încă lângă hostel, o creație a unei artiste luxemburgheze ce a realizat o lucrare de înlocuire de tip grafitti ce a generat mare vâlvă în oraș, a fost pusă în valoare de asemenea de istorisirea lui Maelle.
En: Comming back at the hostel, everybody was keen on Eurovision contest, but Cris and Oana were in the right mood to play some billiard and they convinced Iuska, Piia, Francesco and Achik to play. The hostel was having on the first floor a billiard table, becoming the right field for some friendly matches between Romania, Italy, Finland and Hungary. It was the end of a day with the smell of the high school spirit.
Esch- Water, city, industry, work and borders
The day before last day was split between Esch-sur-Alzette tour and the tour of the capital, Luxemburg City. The word ” Esch” has Celtic roots meaning ” water ” bunch of cities from Germany and south of France are using this term. Alzette is the name of the river which unites Luxemburg with France. The city is surrounded by nature having a pretty charismatic contrast between city and countryside. The documents mentioned about this place were somewhere in the eighth century. It became a city in the mid of the nineteenth century, an industrial town, populations from Europe ( mainly men from Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France) came to that village till that moment, to work in the factory, basically, it was a European gold rush. Even the roots of the French guide were half Polish, half Portuguese. The population of the city raised from 2000 inhabitants in the year 1870 up to 30 000 in 1920, the peasants became a minority, this phenomenon was a trend in the Iron Valley, including Germany, France and Belgium. Maelle wanted to add to the introduction of the guide the history of the creation of an Italian artist placed on the rooftop of Youth Hostel, as a symbol of nature-city transition. Being still near Youth Hostel, Maella took the opportunity to talk also about a replacement graffiti work signed by a female Luxemburgheze artist which generated lots of debates in the city.
Ro: Avansând spre Piața Brill, o realizare de dată mult mai recentă se dezvăluie, practic o mlaștină acoperită ca și râul, din rațiuni estetice, având ca vecini Teatrul, monumentul memoriam din timpul Războaielor Mondiale, când Esch a fost sub ocupație germană, mulți tineri fiind nevoiți să lupte pentru naziști. Muncitorii din mine și fabricii au format o rezistență, luptând în mine împotriva nemților. Legenda spune că în zona era cartierul italian cu 75 de familii, având în medie câte 5 copii, fiind practic locul unde se găsea cea mai bună pizza din oraș, având chiar și un monument dedicat. Tot aici se preconizează că va fi și cartierul general din cadrul programului Esch-Capitală Europeană a Culturii în 2022, titlu deținut în România de Sibiu în 2007 și ce va fi deținut de asemenea de Timișoara în 2021. La nivel arhitectural vorbim de un stil ecletic ( baroc, romanic, gotic).
După o prezentare a unui lucrări practice a unui artist care se dorește a încuraja proprietarii de câini să strângă după ei, grupul a vizitat școala unde artistul este și director. Vorbim de un director neconvențional, îmbracat foarte casual, care a împărtășit cu drag povestea din spatele muralelor de pe clădirii școlii Brill. Un moment de melancolie l-a cuprins pe B. privind la copii ce jucau fotlbal, pe principiul unde-i mingea-i și grămada, cu bucuria mărcării golului, clasicul moment amuzant cu băiatul ce fuge cu mingea lui…

After a presentation of practical work of art which has the scope to encourage people to take care of shit of their, the group was visiting the school was this artist is the principal. Here we are talking about an unconventional principal, dress so casual, but so willing to share the history behind the big murals painted the Brill School Walls. Ro: Pentru brunch alegerea a fost Mesa, la Maison de la Transition a Esch, a.k.a Casa Tranziției, un loc de întâlnire a oamenilor cu interese comune în dezvoltarea de proiecte comunitare. Restaurantul are o mini-bibliotecă, muzică, reprezintă un coworking space a mișcării de tranziție, existent la nivel de mondial ca și concept. Diferite tipuri de brânzeturi, dulcețuri, miere și ceaiuri au delectat papilele gustative ale vizitatorilor, pe pagina de Instagram a blogului se poate descoperi indiciu foto. Bineînțeles că într-un loc așa de cosy nu putea lipsi și chitară, pe care Cris nu s-a putut abiține să nu dezmiardă puțin în același stil afon dar still YOLO.
En: For the brunch the options chose was Mesa, la Maison de la Transition a Esch, a.k.a Transition House, a meeting place of the people who wants to develop community projects. The restaurant has a small library, music, it represents a coworking space of the transition movement, this concept is worldwide. Different type of cheese, gem, honey and tea were spoiling the taste of the visitors, on the Instagram page of the blog you can find a photo clue. Of course that in such cosy place a guitar could not miss, Cris could not resist the temptation the play it in same amateur style but still YOLO.
Ro: Plimbarea a continuat către alte piețe transformate în secolul XIX din locuri rurale, mai puțin agreabile, în locuri de vizitat chiar și de către Papă, în special La Rue du Commerce rebranduită în Rue du Lanzette, doar Piața Sf. Martin păstrând încă elemente nedistruse. Prima poză din colajul de mai jos este opera lui Raphael Gindt, cum am promis mai sus, am revenit asupra lui. Finalul circuitului s-a regăsit în piața de fructe și legume, îmbrățișată de clădirea primăriei, ce este fain este că lângă sunt niște pavaje muzicale.

Ro: Prânzul a fost animat de un pahar de vin de vin alb și câteva meciuri de fussball, un pic pe fast forward pentru a reveni la hostel și a prinde trenul spre Luxemburg City.
En: The lunch was entertained by a glass of white wine and some Fussball matches, a bit on fast forward in order to reach the hostel to catch the train to Luxemburg City.
Ro: Din Gara Centrală din Luxemburg City, cu ajutorul busului s-a ajuns la sediul proiectului Quartier Stuff, dezvoltat de o asociație ce se ocupă cu proiecte pentru comunitatea din zona metropolitană Kirchberg, reușind chiar să dezvolte o grădină urbană. Era foarte suprizător pentru B. să afle ca majoritatea oamenilor doar lucrează în Luxemburg City, prea puțini locuiesc, în principal din cauza costurilor ridicate, numai km pe taxi este peste 60 de euro. Era trist ca și asociația va trebui să-și mute cuibul din cauza că suprafața a fost vândută unui lanț hotelier, viitorul grădinii comunitare superbe fiind unul incert. Dar no, în capitalele financiare ale lumii, banii fac legea, mai ales în Luxemburg City, unde își au sediul 190 de bănci 😦
En: From the Luxemburg City Central Train Station, the crew went by bus to the headquarter of the Quartier Stuff project, run by an association which is dealing with projects for Kirchberg metropolitan zone community, they even managed to grow an urban garden. It was very surprising for B. to find out that most of the people just work in Luxemburg City, too few are living there, mainly because of the high costs, just the cab fee for 1kilometer is over 60 euros. It was sad that also the association will have to move its nest because the place was sold to a hotel chain, the future of the gorgeous community garden is uncertain. But, yeah, in the financial capitals of the world, the money is running the street, especially in Luxemburg City where 190 banks have offices.
Corniche
Ro: Revenind la lucruri mai vesele, mai exact în centrul orașului Luxemburg City, ajuns cu ajutorul ghidului băștinaș, super-harnica Chiarra, iată că gașca avea mână liberă în a-și crea itinerariul prin capitală. La un moment dat, Cris a decis să rămână cu Iulia și Lucia, ele păreau că au o orientare mai bună în spațiu. Prima oprire a fost la podul Corniche, unul din cele mai frumoase balcoane din Europa, cu o priveliște superbă a orașului. Deși se simțea ca un mic prinț deasupra unui regat, totuși mintea lui B. zbura la superbul Parc Central, pe care-l parcusese prea în grabă în drum spre centru.
En: Comming back to more happy stuff, more precise in the centre of Luxemburg City, reached with the help of so helpfully local Chiarra, it seems that the crew was free to choose their itinerary in the capital. At one point, Cris decided to stay close to Iulia and Lucia, they seem to had a better space orientation. The first stop was at Corniche Bridge, one of the most beautiful balconies from all over Europe, with a gorgeous view of the city. Even if he was feeling like a little prince about his kingdom, the mind of B. was far away at Central Park, which he cross it in a hurry on the way to the centre.
În rest a fost așa o plimbare de voie cu fetele prin locuri care păreau interesante, că harta cam dădea cu virgulă. Au savurând natura și locuri idilice, de-a lungul și de-a latul Alzette-ului, au descoperit ba un skate park uriaș, alte produri, trenulețe mai mici, mai mari…

Ro: În jurul orei 19 00, toată gașca s-a reunit pentru cină, ce era tot în centru, în buricul târgului, la Brasserie du Cercle. O supriză plăcută pentru Oana și Cris a fost când ospătărița a fost atentă la faptul că vorbeau în română și le-a vorbit în limba natală, fiind o compatrioată. Gastronomic vorbind, Cris și-a ales un vin alb împerecheat cu un platou de șuncă, cartofi prăjiți și salată, ce așa mai tradițional din meniu, mai luxemburghez era numit ” Ham, Fritten and Zalot”. O discuție amuzantă în materie de mâncare a fost între B și italianul Francesco despre originile gulașului, Francesco mâncând doar în România, Cris i-a recomandat să-l întrebe pe Mathe despre un restaurant bun în Ungaria, unde gulașul să fie foarte bun și tradițional.Nu putea lipsi în ultima noapte câte un toast din partea fiecărei mese, iar B. a fost ivitat și el să spună câteva cuvinte, care cu greu i-au trecut pecetea buzelor din pricina emoțiilor.
En: Around 7 PM, the group gathered for the dinner still, which was still in the centre, at Brasserie du Cercle. A nice surprise for Oana and Cris was when the waiter talked to them in Romanian, after hearing them talking Romanian. Regarding the food topic, Cris chooses a white wine paired with Ham, Fritten and Zalot plateau, which seems to be Luxemburg traditional food. A funny discussion was having B. with the Italian Francesco about the origin of goulash, Francesco ate just in Romania goulash, that’s why Cris recommended to Francesco to asked Mahte a nice restaurant in Hungary for a tasty traditional goulash. A few words in a toast from every table could not miss in the last night, and B. was invited to stand up and say a few words. He hardly managed to cross his word over his lips because he was so touched.
Ro: După masă, o stare de oboseală, tristețe că era ultima seara se instalase în sufletul lui B. În zadar încercau Juska și Oana să-l consoleze, că sentimentul că o ultimă petrecere lipsește din decor nu contenea să dispară, era o senzație de mare gol în piept 😦
Oare chiar acesta este sfârșitul? Răspunsul nu poate fi găsit decât în partea a 4-a ” Sound of Esch, via cartof de Luxemburg & the Sardinian nightmare “ cel mai probabil ultima 🙂
En: After dinner, a B was feeling tired and sad that is was the last night. Juska and Oana tried but with no success to cheer him up, the feeling that a last celebrating party is missing could not vanish so easy, it was like a having some big and empty in the chest. 😦
