Ro: În prima parte a articolului, Cris era în autobuzul ce pleca din aeroportul din Luxemburg spre Gara Centrală din Luxemburg City. Cris avea mustrări de conștiință că o bătuse la cap pe Oana să vină împreună și acum era posibil să o fi lăsat amanet în aeroport. Și totuși, la penultima stație, o tipă ce seamănă cu Oana se consultă cu șoferul dacă este stația potrivită pentru coborât, iar acesta îi infirmă. Cum pe bagaj avea eticheta Munchen, aeroportul unde spunea Oana că va avea escala, era foarte probabil să fie ea. Inevitabil, cei doi coboardă la gară și Cris o abordează, thx God, era Oana 🙂
En: In the first part of the article, Cris was on the bus which was heading to Luxemburg City Central Train Station. Cris was feeling guilty that he was nagging Oana to come together and now probably he left her all by herself in the airport. However, the second to the last station, a chick which was looking pretty similar to Oana was asking the driver if it is the right station and the driver warn her that is not the right one. As she had the Munich label on the luggage, the airport where Oana said she will have the stopover, it was likely to be her on the bus. Inevitable, those two went down to the train station and Cris approach Oana, thx God, it was Oana 🙂
Ro:În doi, era clar că găsirea peronului spre trenul de Esch-sur-Alzette era doar o formalitate, mai complicat a fost să găsească Youth Hostelul, ce era lipit de gara din Esch, ei, probabil din oboseală plus entuziasm, o luaseră în direcția opusă 🙂 La modul serios, Esch-sur-Alzette, deși este al doilea oraș ca mărime din Luxemburg, este o stație în drum spre Rodange, capătul de linie. Fiind la o distanță de 20 de km de capitală, drumul cu trenul durează doar 20 de minute. Ce este interesant este că tot 20 minute faci pe jos, de la Youth Hostel până la granița cu Franța.
En: Being two, it was crystal clear ca the Esch-sur-Alzette train platform identification was just a formality, more complicated was to find the Youth Hostel, which was next to Esch train station, they went in an opposite direction, probably being a little bit tired and too enthusiast. Going back to the more serious stuff, Esch-sur-Alzette, even if it is the second city of Luxemburg, it is just a way to Rodange, the end of the line. Being just 20km away from the capital, the way with the train is taking only 20 minutes. What is more interesting is that it take also just 20 minutes by walk from the Youth Hostel to reach the French border.
Ro:Ajunși la hostel, Cris și Oana au fost întâmpinați de unul dintre organizatori din cadrul Asociației Art Square, Piotr, un polonez foarte energic care instant a rezolvat 2 comenzi la bucătărie, un meniu clasic și unul vegan, deși era ora 21 00. După ce a revenit din cameră, unde și-a lăsat lucrurile, Cris a avut șansa deja din prima seară să stea de vorbă cu o parte din gască. Era o diverstate fantastică, cu românca noastră Iulia, Ieva din Lituania, Lucy, Connor, Davy și Kieron din Irlanda, Mathe și Achik din Ungaria, bine Achik din Ucraina cu origini kardashiene. Lista continua cu Juska și Piia din Finlanda, Magda (una dintre organizatoare), Ewelina și Martina din Polonia, Bianka (o super-harnică organizatoare), Francesco și Ania din Italia ( Ania cu orgini poloneze și ea), surorile elevețiene, vorbitoare de italiană, Chiara și Sofia, spaniolii Lucia, Manuel și Francisco ( colegul de camera a lui B.), englezul cu orgini argentiniene Federico alături de Nicole, belgianul Antoine și portughezul Camilo care s-a alăturat proiectului în ziua următoare. A, și să nu uităm de luxemburgheza Chiara, cel mai chill personaj din această poveste. Sugestia povestitorul este să luați ceva de băut și de ronțăit, că sunt multe de povestit, începem așa cu câte un pic despre fiecare, ca să recreem contextul creativ.
En: When they reached the hostel, Cris and Oana were welcomed by Piotr, one of the Art Square organisers, a very energic Polish guy which managed instantly to order two menus at the kitchen, a casual and a vegan one, even if it was 9 pm. After he came back from his, where he left his stuff, Cris had the chance, from the first night to talk with a part of the project crew. It was such great diversity, containing our Romanian Iulia, Ieva from Lituania, Lucy, Connor, Davy and Kieron from Ireland, Mathe and Achik from Hungary, Achik originally from Ukraine with Kardashian roots. The list was continued by Juska and Piia from Finland, Magda ( one of the main organiser), Ewelina and Martina from Poland, Bianka ( a very diligent organiser), Francesco and Ania from Italy ( Ana having also Polish roots), Chiara and Sofia, the double-trouble sister Italian speaker, the Spanish people Lucia, Manuel and Francisco ( B.’s roommate), Federico the British guy with Argentinien roots, Antoine, the Belgian guy and Camilo, the Portuguese guy who joined the project in the next day.. Not to forget about the Luxemburigh girl Chiara, the most chill character from this story. The suggestion of the storyteller is to grab some chips and something to drink because they are a lot of stories to be revealed, we will start with a short description about everybody, to recreate the creative world.
Maella, Fred & KUFA
Ro:Practic această aventură este aproape imposibil de înșirat în zile, ci mai degrabă cuprinsă prin contribuția fiecărui personaj din această poveste. După aspectele organizatorice și jocurile de cunoaștere, a intrat în scenă Maelle, care a prezentat Kulturfabrik, un coworking space reinventat, unde toți artiștii își pot duce la bun sfârșit creațiile, mai ales gravurile de tip graffiti. Aici aveau să meargă în vizită și să exerseze și tinerii din acest exchange. Acest Kulturfabrik este un fel de Fabrica de Pensule din Cluj, dar funcțional 100% și dus la un cu totul alt nivel, mult mai bine întreținut, aprovizionat și susținut financiar, având festivalul Kufa’s Urban Art ce înclude Urban Talks, Urban Nights și normal că Urban Interventions. Fred, project-managerul a ținut o prezentare foarte faină, care a trezit lumea și la propriu și figurat.
En: To be honest, this adventure it impossible to be revealed chronological, rather made through the contribution of every character from this story. After the introduction aspects and the teambuilding games, the stage belonged to Maelle which presented Kulturfabrik, a rebranded coworking space where all the artist can make their creations, especially graffiti engraving. The youngsters from this exchange had the chance to visit this place and to practice here. This Kulturfabrik is like Fabrica de Pensule from Cluj, the difference is that the Kufa is 100% functional, it has been taken to a higher level, more careful maintenance, supplied and financially sustained, having Kufa’s Urban Art festival which includes Urban Talks, Urban Nights and of course Urban Interventions. Fred, the project-manager held a very nice presentation, which woke up the audience literally.
Ro:Era misterios că pe programul exchange-ului erau trecute destul de multe open space-uri și era interesant ce o să întâmple acolo. Practic oricine dintre participanți care dorea să țină o prezentare, un workshop, un trainning se putea înscrie cu tema sa pe o foaie și apoi fiecare propunere era distribuită pe zilele 2,3,4.
En: It was very mysterious that on the schedule of this exchange were lots of open space and it was interesting to see what it will happen. Basically, every participant which wanted to hold a presentation, a workshop, a training could sing up with his theme on a sheet of paper and then every idea was distributed on days 2,3 and 4.
Ania & Francesco
Ro:Așa au ajuns toți participanții să cunoscă povestea Aniei și a lui Francesco, care au transformat orașul Lecce într-un unul mult mai atractiv din punct de vedere turistic și au ajuns să primească propuneri din partea altor municipalități pentru a transforma clădiri și blocuri triste în adevărate opere de artă murală. Ba chiar au fost atât de amabili, încât au arătat tuturor cum se lucrează cu tehnica de șablonare pentru personalizare de gravuri și tricouri. Amândoi au fondat start-up-ul 167/B Street, un laborator uriaș de arta stradală.
En: In this way, all the participants had the change to discover the story of Ania and Francesco, they transformed Lecce in a more attractive city from the touristic point of view. The had reached a level in which other municipalities propose them projects covering the rebranding of the sad buildings, transforming the in mural art masterpieces. They were so nice, the even made a workshop about how you personalise engraves and shirts. They are the founders of 167/B Street start-up, un huge street art lab.
Iulia
Ro:Iulia este o profesoară la un liceu de artă din Ploiești ce face ilustrații și o mulțime de proiecte super-drăguțe cu elevii ei, extracuriculare. Chiar a dezvoltat 2 manuale de facilitare pe tema animației stradale respectiv diversitatea și învâțarea prin sensibilizare. La prima vedere pare o persoană timidă, dar este dispusă să ofere atât de multe și este și de caterincă, mai jos puteți găsi o poză cu un papuc al ei și celalaltă a lui Cris B. Chiar săptămânile trecute a creat alături de elevii ei 10 postere artistică care să încurajeze lumea să meargă la vot, great job, girl!
En: Iulia is an art teacher at a high school from Ploiești, she is doing illustrations and lots very nice projects with her students, outside the school classes. She even developed 2 facilitation manuals on the street illustration themes like diversity and sensitive learning. At first sight, she looks like a shy person, but she very eager to give so much and she is very funny also, down you can find a photo with her shoe and Cris B.’s shoe. Recently she created with her students 10 artistic posters for encouraging people to go voting, great job, girl!
Lucia
Ro:Cam la fel de timiduță, dar plină de talente, este și Lucia, o profesoară de engleză ce a ținut o prezentare și apoi chiar un workshop despre influența arabă în cultura și arta iberică. Când B. a fost pus să decupeze forme, deși și-a ales cele mai simple, tot i-au ieșit strâmbe și a uitat să lase marginea de sus ca bleed, să nu depășească conturul când dă spreează cu vospea. Oricum i-a ieșit o floricică în culorile drapelului național al României și s-a simțit parte integrat dintr-o activitate foarte fun. După atâta bătaie de cap, Lucia a mai avut forța să dea naștere și unei proprie lucrări, realizate din aceleași forme, decupate de elevii de ocazie.
En: Also a little bit shy, but full of talents is Lucia, an English teacher who holds a presentation and even a workshop about the Arab influence in the Spanish culture and Arab art. When was put to cut shapes, even that she choose the most simple one, it turned out to be a bit crooked, besides that he forgot about the upper bleed side, used to cover the excess of spray paint. Anyway, Cris managed to spay a flower in the Romanian national colours and he felt an integrated part in a very fun activity. After all the hassle Lucia had the force to paint her own masterpiece, made from the same shapes, cut by the workshop participants.
Ieva
Ro:Ieva este o bibliotecară atipică, de tip super-erou lituanian, care strânește pofta tinerilor de citit prin artă. Dacă ar fi existat așa ceva pe când era Cris B. elev probabil nu s-ar fi reapucat de cărți abia pe la 26 ani. Ieva este o persoană ce insuflă inspirație, una din cele mai amuzante sesiuni așa ad-hoc fiind când fredona alături de B, în Luxemburg City, melodia celor de O-Zone- ” Dragostea din tei “. Totuși, după ce l-a provocat pe B. să-i traducă referenul piesei, s-a întristat puțin, și-a dat seama că piesa nu este foarte veselă, e un pic mai deep.
En: Ieva is breaking the librarian’s stereotype, it is some kind of Lithuanian super-hero, she is feeding the reading hunger of the young people through art. If would exist this kind of person in the time when Cris B. was a student probably he would restart reading before reaching to age of 26. Ieva is an inspiring person, one of the funniest blitz sessions was when she was singing with B, in Luxemburg City, O-Zone band’s song, ” Dragostea din Tei”. After she challenged B to translate her the chorus, she got sad a little bit, she realized that the song is not happy, it is a little deeper.
Ro:Lucy este o irlandeză micuță, chiar foarte timidă, dar în același timp atât de amabilă și caldă, un suflet blând. În afara voluntariatului, ea realizează cărți de povești ilustrate pentru copii în care pune în valoare nevoia de acceptare a persoanelor nou-venite într-o comunitate, denumiți ” travelers “.
En: Lucy is a small Irish girl, very shy, but at the same time so nice and warm, such a kind soul. Besides the volunteer work, she makes kids illustrated storybooks in which he emphasizes the need for acceptance of the newcomers in the community, called “travellers “.
Double-trouble Frei sisters
Ro:Chiara și Sofia sunt două elvețience specializate în grafic design și autopotrete, care au ajuns destul de renumite deja, având destul de multe apariții în reviste de specialitate. Ca persoane sunt pline de energie, comunicate, pozitive, distractive, parcă mereu pregătind o supriză din joben. Ca să dau un insight, Sofia are o voce de înger, dar despre asta o să povestim mai mult, înspre sfârșitul aventurii.
En: Chiara and Sofia are two Swiss girls specialised in graphic design and self-portraits, already well-known, they had a lot of appearances in the professional magazines. They are such a full of energy persons, comunicative, positive, fun, looking like they are always preparing a surprise from the top hat. Just an in insight, Sofia has the voice of an angel, but about we will talk more about this, at the end of this adventure.
Companero Francisco
Ro:Franciso, colegul de cameră a lui B., este un om plin de idei și energie cât pentru mai multe vieți. Este tată a 2 copii, antreprenor al unui magazin de vopsele pentru graffiti, profesor și manager al școlii locale de artă urbană din Quintanar de la Orden, un orășel din apropierea Madridului, unde legenda spune că s-a născut Miguel de Cervantes. Omul ăsta a transformat un loc pe care toată lumea îl evita, într-o bibliotecă urbană în aer liber, unde studenții lui pot găsi recomandări de bibliografie. Peste toate asta, este o ființă atât de treabă, probabil singurul capabil să-i suporte toate avioanele lui Cris.
En: Franciso, B’s roommate, is a man full of ideas and energy enough for many lives. He is a father of 2 kids, an entrepreneur which is running a graffiti shop, a professor and manager of Quintanar de la Orden local art school, situated near Madrid, where the legend says that here was born Miguel de Cervantes. Francisco, this guy, transformed a place which everybody was avoiding it in an open-air book library, where his students can find bibliography recommendation. Besides all of this, he is such a nice person, probably the only capable to bear all Cris’s crazy moments.
Connor, Davy, Kieron & the Irish kids
RO:Acești oameni își dedică aproape timpul voluntariatului în lucrul cu tinerii, încercând să le ofere o alternativă prin artă. Graffiti-ul mereu are un mesaj, aduce oamenii la un loc, crează dezbateri. B. era foarte bucuros că a reușit să-l ajute pe Kieron prin workshopul său despre “Antreprenoriat în Artă”, să-și direcționeze ideile înspre proiecte. De altfel, Cris a testat acceleratorul de facilitare ( cu analiză SWOT, bibliotecă deschisă, elevator pitch și tot ce trebuie) pe care va încerca să-l implementeze în proiecte locale și chiar internaționale.

En: These people are spending almost all their time to volunteer work dedicated to youngsters project, trying to offer them an alternative through art. Graffiti has always a message, brings people together, develops debates. B. was very glad that he managed to help Kieron to create projects starting from his own ideas during the “Entrepreneurship in the Art” workshop. By the way, Cris was testing this facilitating accelerator ( with SWOT analysis, open library, elevator pitch and all the thing) which he will try to implement it in local and even international projects.

Ro:Pofta de artă, gradul de coolness poate fi insuflat tinerilor prin muzică, iar Juska-cântărețul de muzică rock, Mathe- festivalierul, Antoine-rapperul, Manuel-profesorul de muzică și Federico-the beatbox guy, au un lucru în comun-copii. Detalii vor fi disponibile în următoarea parte a articolului, cu toate năzdravăniile puse la cale. Părea incredibil cum Juska nu reușea să atragă mai mult tinerii din orașul său Kouvolan, când răspunsul era în oglindă în fiecare zi, să fie el 100% și oamenii îl vor urma oriunde. Bine, la nevoie Chiara, micuța și draguța luxemburgheză ar putea să-i faciliteze o sesiune de mentorat de tipul be cool and go with the flow. Dreadurile ei bestiale și atitudinea atât de binevoitoare o vor transforma într-o eroină, dar asta tot în episdoul urmator o să vedeți de ce, cu riscul de transforma această parte într-un teaser.
Urban Art a fost un training foarte interesant din cauza topicului atât de amuzant al acest întâșniri: să desenăm pereții de pe străzi și să încercăm să avem un oraș frumos grație acestor artiști și imaginilor create de aceștia. Sunt un muzician și cred că muzica și grafifti ( sau alte forme de exprimare) pot merge împreună creând momente și imagini. Momentele vor fi momente și atât dar picturile for fi acolo pentru mulți ani… Oamenii din acest trainning m-au făcut să mă gândesc la noi moduri de crea proiecte în oraș cu ajutorul asociației mele.Acești oameni incredibili veniți din multe țări europene au fost foarte activi, cu multe idei în minte și cu intenții foarte bune în fiecare cuvânt și acțiune.-Manuel, Spania
En:The art appetite, the degree of coolness can breathe to youngsters trough music, and Juska-the rock sing, Mathe- the festival guy, Antoine- the rapper, Manuel- the music professor and Federico, the beatbox guy, they all have one common thing- kids. All the details will be available in the part of the article, with all the shenanigans orchestrated by these guys. It was incredible how Juska was not able to reach to his youngsters from Kouvolan when the answer was in the mirror daily, he just has to be him 100% and the people will follow him everywhere. Of course, it will be needed, Chiara, the little and sweet Luxembourgish girl could facilitate a mentoring session about how to be cool and go with the flow. Her awesome dreads and her so welcoming attitude will transform her into a super-hero girl, but this will you sell why also in the next episode, assuming the risk of transforming this part into a teaser.
“Urban Art has been a very interesting training because the topic of this meeting was so funny: to drew the walls in the street and try to have a beautiful city thanks to these artists and their pictures. I’m a musician and I think the music and the Graffiti (or some other similar expression) can go together to create moments and pictures; the moments will be that: moments, but pictures will be there for a lot of years… The people in this training made me think about new possibilities to create new projects in my town with my association.
